Hundreds of Palestinians injured in al-Aqsa clashes
Israel has installed new security cameras at the entrance to a contested Jerusalem holy site, as officials began indicating it was considering "alternatives" to the metal detectors at the shrine that set off a weekend of violence and raised tensions in the region. Since clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces began on July 14 at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, more than 900 Palestinians have been injured mostly from stun grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. At least four Palestinians have died from their injuries and several others are in critical condition.
